I got the new In-fisherman multi-species mag in yesterday, and I was reading a cool article on how fish react to the "red hook revolution" and I came a cross a part that said that carp have 4 different eye pigments....that lets them see different colors better.
The pigments are red, green, blue, and one that lets them see ultraviolet light.....
Has anyone seen a better catch ratio on carp with different color boilies?

dustin, all that i have learned from my personal experience is 2 things on color #1 side by side (daytime)i will catch minimum 5 to 1 on my moss green line next to the white line #2 ever since i have added the strawberry jello powder the hits come alot more often than without. *i know it cery well could be the flavor/smell, but i dropped a dough ball in a glass of water and it eventually turns the water a pinkish red!

Everyone on the CAG forum said Yellow too.... Not sure if it is UV reflection.... I got the new In-fisherman multi-species mag in yesterday Is that the March, 2008 issue, or one from a previous year? Yes.... it's the march 2008 issue.... GG

I know of guys that have used Duck/Goose poo. Do a search for "Green Bait" and see what you end up with.
