You can always walk in from Overlook after the gate closes. There are few spots outside the gate you can park. It's pretty easy access to the first cove on the north shore from there, and you can get to the damn as well. Other than that you are probably looking at Tejas camp up the river, Blue Hole downtown, or San Gabriel park. I'm pretty sure you can walk into those parks anytime.

The overlook entrance is just down from HEB. It's the one park that does not require an entrance fee. You can also access the goodwater trail from there. Once the whites start their run, you should be able to find some close to Tejas camp. Check out: http://www.swf-wc.usace.army.mil/georgetown/images/gtwn%20images/images/GTlakemap.pdf

Snowyriver - do you know if there has been any luck from the bank down from Tejas below the bridge crossing where it opens up? I'm planning on going out on Wednesday and we won't have the boat. Any information appreciated...

I went to Tejas last night, and didn't see anything up closer to the camp except for a couple of guys that had some crappie. I got no hits on my roadrunners. I didn't have time to go all the way to the crossing, but I talked to a few yakkers that had been all the way down to the lake, and all they saw where a few largemouth.
