Ladies and Gentlemen.
again, i will say this.
"THERE WILL BE NO BOAT RACING OUT THERE!!!!!!!!" PERIOD!
I do know what the original post was trying to say. And that is NOT boat racing. Many of the "other" boats that fish tournaments run at w.o.t. just about all time! I've even seen the paa pro's run w.o.t. (80mph) through some of the scariest stuff i've ever seen out here at fork.
We will NOT be trying to see who has the fastest boat out here that day!
Just enter the tournament, catch a monster bass, and win some money.

Many years ago I had the pleasure of riding in one of Ken's Bullet boats. We flew down the mouth of Birch and touched the high 80's maybe low 90's for just that one moment. Awesome experience. Boat fished pretty good and the company was excellent.
Speed is not for everybody and I would never put myself in a situation where anyone other than a most experienced driver was at the wheel.
With at least 4 sizable tournaments on the water that day I doubt ideal conditions will exist for speed. That said, I think some of the people that take a test ride will find that there is more to a Bullet than just speed.

You cant catch fish going 80 Yeah, but when you do, it takes the fight right out of them! LOL! I caught fish a couple of months ago at 3.3 mph. I didn't fell him, must have dragged him for awhile. poor lil' thing. He swam off just fine after i got the dd22 out of it's mouth.

Yeah right.... The guys that buy these boats don't make them fast and not try to prove it. It may not be that anyone lines up, but I'll promise you at some point two boats are going to race down a boat lane.

I have ridden in a buddy's 22 ft. Bullet. The first time he got on it with me in it, I didn't know how fast we were going...but I knew I had never gone that fast in a boat before. It was a rush, and I think we were probably only doing around 85. That was with an almost full gas tank, all our gear, and two guys who weighed about 470 pounds between them in it.
And...I think there was still more in it if he had really wanted to push the envelope.
I have fished out of that boat many times, and it fishes like just about any other bass boat I have been in.

Happens everyday man...Rangers, Gamblers, Cobras...doesn't matter always someone trying to "catch" someone.

Watch the new power poles in the boat lane. Hope someone does not get up close and personal with one of them.

Ever see a tournament launch? I've been cut off, passed way too close and even prop sprayed by T fisherman but never thought to go on a site and accuse them of racing...but they were, and do every Saturday on any given lake. Geez. Give it a rest. Maybe we need speed limit on everyone. There's alot of difference between 40 and 70. I see a Ferarri on the road and don't get scared. I'm going to fish the T and have fun. I will keep my eye out for Basscats, Skeeters, Rangers and Nitros that I feel are going too fast so I can post about them Monday...well probably not Rangers...
Stress less, relax more. Go fishing.

I have a fast boat but have not moved to TX yet. I will be moving to Pearland in the next 5 months.
O yea the fast boat I have is a 2002 Stroker with a Merc 225X short shaft and SM foot. I say it is fast but not as fast as the Alli or some Bullets. The fastest I have driven her is 88.8 with full gas and live wells and my big but. 6'4" and 300lbs.

Heck them have their fun, people buy bullets to go fast (they fish decent as well) people buy rangers to ride well and fish good, people buy skeeters, bass cats and others for a combination of the 2.
There will be some boat racing on the lake that day, hopefully they stay in the lanes to do it and are careful when around others. Fork is NOT a good racing lake.

How about we let these poor fast boat guys enjoy themselves and simply be responsible for their actions. There are no posted speed limits on any lakes I have seen and as far as I know they are very legal in doing whatever speeds they choose. If they get out of line or have an accident they are responsible. We don't ban fast cars so lets not get crazy and shut something down that some of us may not agree with. Its funny because this thread made me realize that of all the incidents I have seen or been around on the water has never involved a Bullet, Allison, or Stroker. Its kinda like a gun, its not the gun its the person pulling the trigger.
