I'll be looking forward to that trip report. I'm supposed to go to River Ridge March 16-18. I won't be taking the guided trip though. I'm gonna put my canoe in upstream and float down to River Ridge and camp there. Never been there before so I can't help you with any info. Good luck, hope you catch some of those 3-4 lb whites.

The run is not in full swing yet, but there are good numbers being caught. Went with my son and cousin this morning and limited in three hours. Biggest was 3lb.2oz. Most in the 2lb range. Toolman, you'll be happy after your trip with Jane. Shouldn't have any troble getting a limit of big whites. Maybe we'll see you on the river. We'll be in a gray Performance boat up river from RR.

They haven't really made it to the scholes yet but should be there after this rain...if not over them. East Texas. Try the old 59 hwy or I think its 2510??? just south of Carthage go doewn to Murval Creek. WATCH FOR ROCKS!!!

You can't catch a fish on a dry hook.

Fished Sunday all day and wound up with 22. Not bad for the conditions. River was up 4 or 5 feet and muddy. Fish were still biting, just hard to keep your lure on the bottom.

Hey EastTexas Fisher. Don't know if you got my email response. I was on the river when I sent it. We typically launch out of RiverRidge. Its south of Carthage off 699. Unless there are plenty of fish farther up, then we will try launching at the 2517 bridge. We probably won't go this weekend. The river has not finished cresting according to the USGS website. We had a tough day on Sunday when the river came up. I see from mikethetoolman's post that they had a tough day too fishing with the guide. Defintely the next weekend though.
