Hello all,

I am knew to the area and want to catch a few crappie. Is Weatherford lake worth trying out? I live in Nortwest Tarrant county. Any other lake suggestions for crappie. Thanks

i live right by there and have been there the last three weekends and have caught four crappie to keepers at the fishing barge . lot of people there fishing and i have seen only three other keeper fish caught while i was there. hear a lot of stories from people there catching 30 to 15 fish in the moring LOL but i have to see it to bleve it .maybe they have i dont know , dont get your hopes up.

I know saturday we stopped in for about an hour and couldn't get anything done in the barge or the slips.

Lots of sad looking faces in the barge.

Get use to it ... I only seen a few goood fish come out of that Dark HOLE wish they would fix the light and send out a game warden

Gotta love Primo! Glad you're a one of our fishin' buddies at the EM Casino, man.

I don't go to Weatherford anymore either because of the shape the crappie house is in and the fact it has only one tank. If I rarely go to a barge to pay now, it'll mainly be LL Barge due to the room. But with renting at the Casino now and it's closer proximity than any of the barges I used to go to, I don't go much anywhere else anymore, unless I'm hitching a seat with someone owning a boat.
