when flyfishing u need room and no one is going to crowd u when your throwning a hook and line all over the place. most of the time your roll casting only about 20 ft or less. plus im usually in the water and not near the crowds. i go to the gun range area to fish cause its almost like trout fishing in the rapids.

Had very successful day Monday and today. 90% of all fish caught were 13" or better. Fished about 2 hours each day, and froze behind off today. Was so cold I had difficulties casting due to fingers not wanting to cooperate!

Hey, Cat, where'd you fish? I guess it's too early for the gun range?

I can hear it coming down. I've been looking at mapquest and can't figure out where the Firewheel location for Rowlett Creek is. Can someone give me an intersection? I'm an idiot when it comes to maps. The only place I know to fish Rowlett Creek is the gun range. Any help would be appreciated.

it's just past centerville towards 66! You'll cross over the bridge and as soon as you do, hop the curb! and you'll get to it!
