I am sorta new to boat ownership so my big question is.. Where do most of you turn when you need repair work? 1) The local dealer 2) Do it yourself 3) Friends and buddies 4) LoL My boat never breaks
If you are in the Beaumont Area where Can I get good service?

All of the above. For miner repairs i.e. Switches, Graphs, external moter parts I go it my self.
Two man jobs I have a buddy that is a realy good boat man that lives in Red Oak.
Warenty and internal motor issues I go to Rockwall Marine.

Warranty work for my Ranger - either convince Cabelas to do it or take it to Flippin for Ranger to work on, as I can't find anyone close to do it.
Brown's Boat Repair in Mesquite for non-warranty work. Long drive but worth the drive!!

Try Tims Marine in Granbury, they have repaired my brothers and my boats for years and always do a great job; owners are Tim and David

I don't know anyone down in the Beaumont Area personally. Call several dealers and ask who they send the fiberglass work out to. If they say they do it there, but don't have an onsite glass shop, then they are just sub'ing it out. They generally mark up the cost 20-30% over what the glass shop normally charges.

Down in that neck of the woods go see DJ or Mike at Big D Outdoors. Bowden Marine is another great dealership down there.
For me the smaller stuff I do but the bigger stuff I take it to Rockwall Marine and let those guys deal with it.
Good luck and congrats on your boat ownership!

I have been out of Beaumont a while, but there use to be a guy that had a repair shop close to the central freight docks down on twin city hwy or you can carry it to Wesley Dawson over on College st.
