After fishing mostly for cats the last decade or so I have once again takin up bass fishing. Here where I live there are 2 Lakes about 15 acres a piece. I have caught some real good cats but the last few days I have gone out there and tried artificial worms, flukes, spinners, rubber minnows, then I tied on a bass looking top water and BAM. Got 4 last night in 30 minutes. Tonight I got there late and got one bite on the same lure. I also tried the "weedless" frog that I payed 5$ for at Wal mart. It got caught in some weeds and broke off.
How are you supposed to fish those anyways? I bought 2 so I still got a shot at it.

Those frogs get caught up a lot. You are supposed to jerk them right over the tops of weed beds. I only use them when in my boat so I can get them loose.
Try some Zoom Wooly Curltails rigged weedless and weightless. I've always had good luck with them in ponds and small lakes.
