Had both boats out on a beautiful, bluebird sky, calm, high barometer Saturday.....and the results were the same as all the other Lakes. Very few Whites, no Hybrids and reports from all the others on the Lake the same. Need some warmer water and good, cloudy, breezy (not windy) days. Last year, it all started to happen the first week in March...probably the same in store this year. Think I'm going Catfishing on Wednesday! It won't be long before they turn on! Good Luck and Good Fishin'! Royce www.gonefishin.biz

Hey Royce
after all the low water from the drought, and thenthe floods, the fish should appreciate a nice full calm lake, and start biting soon; lake should be full of fat sandies, dont u think?

shellj22, The lake is in good shape for this time of the year. It's a little less than 2' low versus last January at 12' low. We're just in that typical Winter pattern of Cold Water, continual Fronts, High Pressure Systems, etc. coming thru and everyone wanting it to be Spring. The fish aren't quite ready to make it easy! We had a very good bite on Magnum Whites going on thru early January, and then it's slowed to a halt. If we don't get too much COLD weather in the next couple of weeks, the fun should be on by March. Until then, probably best to get the equipment ready, boats serviced, etc. We go from fishing one or two days a week to six days a week, and often two trips a day in March & April. Our regular Customers have already booked both boats on all the Saturdays in March & April except for the ones in early March. Quite a few Weekdays in March taken also, but have a few left in the Spring Break periods of March 10th-21st. Anyone wanting a Spring Trip, give us a call so we can get you on the Calendar. Adam does the Crappie as well as the Whites/Hybrids, and does quite a few "Combo Trips". I stick with the easier Whites & Hybrids. Give us a call and Let's Plan a Trip! Fished R.C. yesterday. Had really good conditions aside from the water temp. being a little too cold. Overcast, breezy, High in the upper 60's. Fished all the "regular spots"...marked fish at 35'-38'. We were fishing rainbow slabs with a maribou jig tied above it. Just couldnt get 'em to bite. Only managed 1 white crappie. Oh well.

I think the sandbass all have procreation on their minds. The one lone fish I caught Saturday must've been bent on suicide but he was glad to see me when I got him out of the water, if you know what I mean
