We started planning a saturday trip early last week. It started with six guys. As the weather report steadily degraded so did everyone's interest. Saturday morning found two of us bundled up and skimming down the intercoastal. As we cleared the little jetties my face and hands were completely numb. My fishing partner looked set for duck hunting with his camo ski mask. Sheephead bite at the big jetty was very light to non-detectable. We managed a limit each but it wasn't easy. We kept moving and could usually find a couple of willing fish at each setup. Either the larger fish had moved out or the cold had the bite shut down. Ended up 10 sheephead, 1 27" red, and no trout. Still better than setting at home watching Bassmasters.

Thanks for the report. I should be down late feb.
Give it a few more weeks and I would expect it to light up a little at the jetty. I would bet early march is going to be good in POC.
