Does anyone have an idea on how to enhance a 12 volt TM. I have a 12v Minn Kota All Terrain 40 lb TM. I am running a deep cycle tm battery and I can bearly get a whole day of fishing using the set up I have. Short of spending a $1000 on a 24 volt TM, does anyone have any suggestions that may help be get more life out of what I have now. Thanks.

You can always put another battery in your boat. If you hook a jumper from the posts you will have double the battery life. Two jumpers, one from positive battery one to positive battery two. The second jumper wire needs to go from negative battery one to negative battery two.
I just gives you twice the amp hours.
Make sure you use at least 6 guage wire for the jumper wires.

the 3 blade kipawa composite prop seems to add a little more thrust and is a little better in weeds i guess about 10 to 15 percent better have it on two different boats

12 systems pull a lot of juice. Big reserve amp batteries are more important for them than for 24v. Like stated I'd add a battery but get the most reserve amps you can find.

When I had a 55lb MK I added a second battery in parallel to the first. It lasted all day long without a problem. You essentially double the time you can run the trolling motor.
Stress less, relax more. Go fishing.

It is really easy. I used the pre-made battery cables. One red and one black. The length depends on how far apart the two batteries will be positioned. The red cable goes from positive to positive and the black from negative to negative. I also spray battery connections with battery terminal protection spray.
Stress less, relax more. Go fishing.

check>connections-good contact >charger-onboard or portable w/deep cycle charge and auto- shut off or maintainer >battery-water level. largest reserve cap. also, the weight of the boat could be an issue 6 gauge wire from your TM to the batteries will make a big difference my .02
