Guys here is the map of LV showing the area of the trees in the main part of the lake. If you are in the SHADED AREA, YOU ARE IN THE TREES. Many are just inches under the surface of the water right now.

http://webpages.charter.net/rrdowns/LV-Center-crp.jpg

There are a few "skull and cross bones" on that map, most are trees in traffic lanes, the one on Pockrus Humps is the remains of a telephone pole (like the ones at twin poles) that has been sheared off in the past, it is now close enough to the surface to hit, and will be visable when the water reaches 512.

I've offered that map and the waypoint files that go with it a number of times over the last couple of years............the offer is still good. Just send me an email and I'll get the files out to you. Use them as you wish, and share them with anyone that has an interest.

The waypoint files are currently saved in txt, wpt(garmin), and usr(Lowrance) formats so they can be loaded directly to many GPS unit for real time use on the lake.

I created all of that info a number of years ago when the lake was way down for my use at times like these. I share it simply as a safety tool in an attempt to keep other fishermen and boaters from tearing up their equipment or getting hurt.

Hope more of you will take advantage of this before you find the trees by accident.

BE SAFE
Wayne

PS: The map does provide a perfect picture of the Gravel Pits

I'll take the waypoints in TXT format. Planning on fishing nights so they might come in handy.

I see some folks asking for the maps and waypoints via this thread. If you want a copy please send me an email, find it in the icons above, or use wtiller1@yahoo.com (same one)

Thx

That map and waypoints would really help me out. In the past I seem to find stumps real easy. Will pass the map and waypoints on to other friends who fish LV. I have a garmin 5 GPS. My email is jpbaebel@yahoo.com

Thanks
