think of getting a tattoo to honor my dad, we loved to fish together, any idea's. i'm still not the same yet, but hopefully time will heal me. fighting stages of depression big time. any ways, i want a tat that honors him. nothing huge though. its gonna go high up on my arm where a short sleeve will cover it.

Kevin if you are having depression you might want to go see your doctor. They have some good medications out there that will help you.

some of them will lock you up and keep you from finishing

Do the Linden Method, drugs just hide symptoms that come back later. Check it out online, I researched it for 2 days and bought it 3 weeks ago. It's a good map to get you where you want to go.

thanks for the input guys, i have a doctors appointment tommorrow. i'm kinda scared of the medications but i'm tired of this running my life. so, if my doctor (who is a friend of mine) feels meds are the fastest way to get over it, then that i will do.

Don't "rely" on just the meds, though. Yeah, they can help, a LOT. But if your doctor comes to the conclusion that you have serious clinical depression, then in addition to the meds, a therapist or psyciatrist can help too.

The best help for actual clinical depression can be a combination of therapy/physiciatry, and some carefully prescribed meds.

Hey, don't feel bad about it, Kev. I went through a very bad depression a few years ago and the meds really helped until I could get to a point in my life where I could deal with things. I went to counseling, too, which really helped me get past it. I learned how to deal with things as they came up and how to avoid a complete slide into depression. I would highly recommend that, in addition to the meds. It will help you deal with things for the rest of your life.
