I am working in Tulsa this week and decided to carry in my LMS334 for a software update and checkup.

I would like to say the service department has an outstanding group of knowledgeable and professional people. In addition to having great products, the people care about the customer. It reaffirmed why I am a Lowrance customer. Good job!!!

Just wait till the satellite weather comes out. Now you don't need radar to know what the weather is doing. Soon you will be able to put a radar screen over your gps screen. Plus on another note for all your large screen GPS; LCX27 and larger, in the next couple weeks an update is coming out to be able to plug and play Navionics Platinum chips. They are awesome, insead of just contour lines they offer 3d images, photos of major marinas even for inland lakes, plus a ton more options. They are finally stepping it up to be competitive with their competitors in features, yet still offer that awesome price point.

They need to have good customer service. Lots of folks are spending big dollars on Humminbirds. Lowrance has to be feeling it.

When sponsored pros are spending cash out of their pockets for a SI unit, it sends a message.

I agree with Ronnie, They put out so many bad products they have to be good at replacing/repairing them to stay in business. I have in the last two years had 2-334's, 1-332 and now a 520, still trying to get one that works right.

i dont think they have a bad product.... just some production issues that cause problems. thier conventional sonar is still hard to beat.
