jigs are super tough right now. so till they get into full gear, id invest in some minners. that way you can actually catch something and not waste ur time. caught 14 keepers today but got a bite almost on every minner. caught about 10 crappie all nine inches. hopfully we get some hard rain to make them run a bit more.

Hey fro... what the hecks a potlicker??

Anyone see if the river went up any??? I know in Plano it rained like a son of a (*&*)&%(*&^% at around 4 this mornin.... just hopin the creek filled up a lil bit... anxious to hear about it... thanks ya'll

a potlicker is someone who runs to your spot when you start catching fish and they are not.


One who crowds out someone else's fishing spot

Turn your back with your pole in hand and they get your spot


I don't always catch fish, but when I do, I prefer Dos Hybrids

When the run really kicks off... then yes that would get annoying! so untill it does, where you fishin!?!?

anyone ever even try to fish right after it rains?? how'd that turn out at the creek?? just wonderin... probably take a day or two to really start seein em right?

they will bite with the water muddied up. chartruse is the best bet. it the creek flooded, then more fish that were staged up in the deepest holes near miller will move further up the creek.

exactly what tarpon said.....if we get heavy rain i usually wait about 2 days for the water to be less muddy...i noticed that the hybrids will be present after a day of heavy rain.....
