Anybody have any input on the new Falcon Cara T7?

I am interested in the Amistad, its the new 7'2" heavy/fast, with a split handle. I havent found them in stock anywhere yet to get a hand on them, any input appreciated...

The Amisatd's haven't been shipped out yet, I've been waiting too...supposedly in the next week or two is the last word I had.

I've got a pair of the split grip 6-1610's that I bought at the Arlington show but I haven't got to fish them yet. They're definitley lighter than the old models though. Just got my new reels for 'em this week, Daiwa TDSA 153 HSTA's. The tax man was good to me this year!

I checked with Kathy at Brannan's this morning and supposedly this week is the week for the Amistad's....we'll see if mine come in.

I tell you after fishing with the 6-1610's the last few weeks its hrad to pick up another rod. You really can't appreciate the lightness till you use it. I grabbed my old McClelland jig rod Friday after using the T7 a bit and it seemed like a brick at first. I have Daiwa Steez's on them and the balance is incredible. I cannot wait to get the Amistad either.

Same I haven't thrown any of my old Cara's in a week. In fact yesterday when I was telling myself as soon as I get a few more Cenderi's for the Spring season I am selling all my old Cara's for the T7's..

So beautiful....

Well they finally showed up today! Happy Valentine's Day to me!!

So far they've passed the wiggle test with only one small criticism and that being I wish the handles were a bit longer on this long of a rod. I'll get reels on 'em and maybe post a pic. They do seem really light for a heavy power rod though, C-riggin' all day should be a breeze grin

If it's a short handle, it may make a great stick for pitching. I much prefer the shorter handles for that application.

I'll have to measure the handle this evening and get back to ya'll on that. FWIW it looks to be the same length as on my other split grip Cara's.
