 So called Joe Pool lake record?

im hearing stories of a guy who caught a 3+ lb crappie at the lynn creek marina. he went to have it weighed and didnt have a fishing lisence. so they couldnt give him the lake record. does anyone know anything about this? if it is true did they release it back into the lake? i think this is bs. maybe someone can prove me wrong.

did you try asking the people at lynn creek marina fishing pier? they would know.
