Anyone willing to give any info out on this lake? Does it have a lot of grass? Is the water usually clear or stained in the upper reaches? I know it is going to be tough getting any info with the BPS tournament coming up. Just never fished the lake and trying to get any general info about it. Yes, our club is entered if it matters.
Thanks, we have 24 members coming and only one has ever been on the lake.

I've got a tournament the week before yours on Hubbard, PM me and I'll tell you what I know.
Everyone will head north to the river. That's probably where the tournament will be won, but there's not room for all that many boats in the prime water. The bass, depending on the weather, could be on beds up there by then.
There's not a lot of grass, hardly any, but there is some. Docks and rocks will get you bit, but the big fish will be from the river.
Hope this helps,

I hate that river. If you don't know where you are running it can dish out some grief to you. You might try the cut just north of the power plant. In the 2 coves there, the bank is lined with cattails and you can flip a watermelon with chartreuse tail lizard in there and catch some nice fish. Also, there is like a rock jettie protecting the powerplant. It has some cattails on it and plenty of other structure. It will hold fish almost all of the time. These aren't secret spots either but it is a starting point. There is an isolated rock pile off that jettie lookiing point that if you can find it holds a ton of big fish.
