I usually fish for big catfish in February but after a few good striper trips in the last week I think we will quit the big cats a little early this year. The fishing was non stop for 2 hours this morning with lots of 4-6 LB fish and 5 big fish from 14-19 LBS, all caught on live shad. The bigger fish were released so if you catch a big one remember somebody might have caught that fish before you so don't spoil the fun for the next guy or girl.

Hey great pics and great report. GREAT on the CPR and encouraging clients to pass on the big fish. I think thats GREAT! I think we might have something special here in a couple of years. Had a lot of fun down there since this summer and things seem to just keep jump'n! I too have released all the larger fish...

Steve,
Thanks for releasing the big Stripers. I wish more people would, plenty of smaller fish to take home for supper. We caught and released lots of fish that day fly fishing. Our best was 10 lbs. Had one that straightened out a hook that might of been better. Let'um go and let'um grow!

Great Stripers! How common is it have several fish over 15#? Do you recommend a whole or half day trip this time of year?

Anytime you put a boat in tailwaters it is risky, especially if you don't know thw waters.
