Was at the Narrows today (Box 7 and some of the other parks are closed until next Weds. for a draw hunt) and some people were getting some whites, mostly small males. A few crappie, too, but I think that some more rain and the full moon will get them going. Tejas usually needs some good flow for a run, but I haven't been up there yet this year. It will happen. Very soon.

With a little rain today and tomorrow, and a full moon this weekend, it might stir up some whites...
Anybody been up to Granger? I'm headed up there on Thursday (high of 42 - and we're wading) to the San Gabe.
Anybody been to Tejas above G-Town?

I went down to Tejas a few weeks ago. I figured it was too early but went to check it out. The river has changed a bit from the floods so theres one spot where they wont be able to get past. It should be good though the water is still well over the second bridge. Caught a few LMB on minnows but no sign of the whites. Gonna try again this weekend if i can.

Water is still too cold. The schools are holding on the main lake and secondary points at the creek entrances. Will need some warm days to raise the creek temps before the males make their first foray into the creeks.

Anybody been to Tejas or Granger lately? This rain should get them started...

Whites are still staging in the main lake drop offs, 25-30 ft, but they are closer to the mouth of the creek channel than they were 10 days ago, and yes...they are hungry!

I went to willis last week. Caught 6 small largemouths but no crappie or whites also went over to the river for couple hours and did not have any luck. Did see where someone cleaned a mess of crappie and left the skin and bones. So the crappie are in the river I just could not tell you where.

Hopefully the weather will be good enough this weekend. I might go to willis or head out to smithwick and try to catch some cats.

Whites are staging on Georgetown in 30+ ft of water, suspended at 20 ft waiting for the water entering the lake to hit 54-55 degrees. I could tell you what the current temp is now, but heck...that would take all the fun and guesswork out of it now wouldn't it?

Went Friday and Saturday last week at the wildlife management area. caught 6 both days, but walked a long way and fishing was extremely slow. I think the information Woj gave is very informative and gives an indication of what the whites are doing. Any day now and they will start moving in. I would still like to see some rain frown
