I just bought this unit and have had it on the water only once because of the cold weather and I am just learning about it. It works just great, except for one thing, which is very important! At speeds above 20 or so mph, it loses the depth reading.

Do I go to "HyperScroll" by increasing ping speed or what?

Help!

That is most likely the placement of your transducer if you loose bottom.

I have a 27C and do not have that problem. John is probably correct when he references transducer position as the problem.

I had to lower my transducer and it solved my problem...

Yep, your transducer probably needs to be adjusted. Hopefully, it's not a thru hull set up.

No, it is not a thru hull. This unit replaces the x75 I had on the console and I placed the new ducer in the same place as the old one.

I'll play with it for a while.

thanks.
