Stayed there once but, didn't eat there. The rooms have micro's so bought some 'nuke' food in town. Needed to save the money for shopping at the Anglers Lodge.

Anglers has great "good ol' boy" food. Wonderful Hamburgers and great Tacos!

The Sicilian rest. at the resort has some pretty expensive food, but probably some of the better spaghetti that I've had in years. Worth a shot, if you don't mind the prices.

There's also a little cafe inside the Chevron at the Y, which offers Mexican food, too.

Steaks your thing? Wrights or Cripple Creek. You can also go to Memo's for some good greasiness that'll have you begging for a trip to a nearby shoreline by 10am the next morning...BUT, they probably have some of the coldest beer in town. Scale tips towards the icy beer for me..lol.

I go across the border to Manuels.
Best Mexican food down there IMO.
There are a couple other good ones too.

Connie,
I was just amazed that Hammer, Phanny, Dennis and others like yourself enjoyed drinking wine !!! I think that I even got Paul to try some, mentioning that it might help his digestion ( saving us all - Bwaaahahaha). With the caliber of good cooks/good eats, my bringing some good vino worked out well !!

Of course, in my business, the key to product knowledge is sample, sample, sample !!!! lol

Every time that we are down there, my wife insists on Cripple Creek. Great food.

Last week we ate at Avanti's Italian. It was very tasty, try the Lasagna.
Its right across from Fishermans Hdqtrs at the spilt, on your left heading towards the lake.
