NOW FOR SOME RESULTS:
Johnny won 1st Place and big fish $101
Nate did not leave all his money this time and took home $29 for second.

A total of 13 turned out for the deep freeze alst Saturday. Ice was forming in my rod guides. I haven't seen that since I left Michigan in 81. This weekend promisses warmer weather. I hope everyone had a good time even with the cold temps and will come out this week as well.

Thanks again to all!

Z

Will skip the next two weeks. Traveling to Maine for ice-fishing this coming weekend. Leave out on Saturday and return the following Saturday. The day I return I have to run to the store to pickup food and dawn my chef's hat for the Sunday SuperBowl Party! BIG SCREEN combine with fajitas, enchiladas, chickenwings, chili, salsa and chips ofcourse, eggrolls, and a few more goodies. So good luck the next two weekends guys. I know the directions and landscape now so I will come more prepared for the conditions.

See ya in a few weeks!

Jeff

It was slow, but the company is good. It's a good opportunity to meet some new crappie anglers and get tips and suggestions. It's an awesome chance for somebody who is new to jigging to learn from some pretty good people.

I live in S. Ft. Worth, but this sounds kinda fun. I can't make it this Saturday. Does this happen every Sat. night?

If this is where I think it is, there's a cool bar/club "across the street" I think. They had a live band last time I was there. I forgot the name of the place, but there was a gazeebo you walked through to get to it.

Yeah i will be doing it till it till the end of spring but wont be there some nights cause of other tournys but i dont think greg will mind doing it if if hes not busy.

as for the live band no luck its the first exit after the second bridge as if your coming from dallas fort worth area make a left at the light then anothe left after the bridge [railroad tracks]follow to the bottom of the hill.

FuturePharmD is talking about Weekends at Bayview Marina. I believe it is closed for remodeling though.

The two weeks that I have fished, the catching has been slim. Lots of little fish, but the 1st place fish this past (big fish) was 13.7 oz. and about 11 in. That's what makes this tourney good, it's anybodys ballgame. We are all fising within eyesight of each other in the same general area.

Yes it is equally challanged, I fished once last winter and only caught a few black bass. Whats the rules, jig only, 1 pole only? or as many poles as you afford and live bait allowed.

Live bait is allowed, but it's 1 pole and 1 hook as far as I know.

As for the fish the closer to pre spawn the better.
