Is there a place online like Consumer Reports that rates boats? I am looking at the Ranger Reata 210 and the Triton 211 SF. Both are fish and ski boats. They both seem top be top quality boats but every one I talk to has a different opinion of the two. Went to the Ft Worth boat show this weekend and the Triton guy said,,, "Our boat has the best ride in the business" . The Ranger guy said "We are known for the best ride in the business" . HELP!!! The warranties are just about the same. The price is pretty close too.

Nothing trustworthy is printed.
*Everyone* has the best... Ride Handling resale fishability blah blah blah..
Trust yourself, go to the lake, put the hull throug it's paces to your own satisfaction. Don't make a decision on a boat sitting on a trailer. If the dealer won't take you out, head down the road, don't listen to the b.s.

I have yet to see one. I looked when I was buying my last boat and had no luck. Based on what I saw when I was looking at Fish and Skis the boats are somewhat different and a little bit depends on what you are looking for. First of all I would suggest to max out whatever motor you get with the boat. A 250 on the Triton and a 225 on the ranger. The Triton seemed to be a little more fishing friendly with the larger front deck, but the Ranger was better built with probably a better resale... I ended up witht he Skeeter bc o performance. IT handles much better and is much quicker mainly becuase it is much lighter. 1,650 lbs verus 2,100-2,200 lbs and it seemed to have a the ranger quality with a little more fishing room. I preferred the performance but everyone has their own things they look for in a boat.
