Let me explain. I have a day off, instead of going somewhere to fish, I am sitting in front of the computer!!!! In times past I would not check anything. I would not sleep the night before with anticipation of the days catch. This morning I check the wind, rain, temp etc. and decided not to go. I guess I have moved to the next stage in life from getting " SOFT & LAZY" to being " SOFT & LAZY". I guess I will get back to the fishing shows, monitor this website and take a few naps until the wife get home from work.

Same here. When I 1st got this last Bike I rode down to 32 deg. Then since I still saw a few sprinklers freezing the pavement I said, nothing under 40 deg. Then it's too much trouble to put on all the gear for cold weather so now my limit is 60 deg. Same for fishing. I used to break the ice to put in my old john boat and go all day pullin' in crappie. Now, it's too windy, too cold, etc. WHAAAA!

I finally talked myselft into trying to go today. I went outside opened the garage,(cold)hooked up the boat,(colder)made it to the end of the driveway an the rain started.(NO WAY)Backed the boat back into the garage and unhooked.(Very Cold Now). Drinking hot cocoa while respooling fishing line in the house.(Warm)Turned on the heater in the garage after it warms a little bit I will replace the trolling motor rope and organize some boxes. OH WELL!!!
TiVo and fishing shows along with Ernest's DVD.

I hear ya... I too bail when the weather looks off. Now a days, I look at what it costs me in gas for the old truck. 1/4 tank per trip. (About $15 per trip)I want to be on the water as long as possible to maximize the trip. Man it will just get worse as live internet cameras and real time weather sensors start to populate our lakes!

Sabot, Thats a great idea. Maybe we can get some of these guys that have an "office" to set their underwater camera on live so we can watch them catch crappie or use the feed as a live screensaver.
Gas prices figure into the equation also. I usually use half a tank($20) to get to CC and back. Then another $20 in boat gas running around looking.
I am still waiting for someone to post a report that made me regret staying at the house. None Yet!!!!!

After speaking with a part of the crew over the last few days, I am not regretting staying around the house. Maybe someday soon the crew from up North will connect a reel to a computer which is connected to the internet so we can fish from our computer. Man, just think of it, as I look out the window it's raining and cold (47'). I could be sitting here in the warmth and comfort of my home fishing a reel on CC! I pay extra if you take the computer out on a day trip! Come on guys... Get it together up there!
