No jig, but something I enjoy making.

Well I epoxied the hook in about 2 months ago and just got time to finish one of these. Now looking for spring and maybe a little bass action on my fly rod.

Wonder if anyone thinks the crappie will hit this also?

Skip,
I am always amazed at what a crappie will hit, so don't count it out.
Last March at Alan Henry I was "bass fishing" with a clear Tiny Torpedo. The only fish I caught that morning on that bait was a 14" crappie. He was hanging out around some brush about 10 feet from the shoreline.
One thing for sure it will be a "killer" for bass on a flyrod.

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

I think the big crappie are more aggresive in that lake than the bass are haha. I have caught MULTIPLE crappie on top waters on AH and on rattle traps!

I was using a spitin image just working the hell out of it and BAM!! a HUGE crappie

nice popper!

John 5:24 Very truly I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.

1Peter 3:18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit.

I like the Yellow idea for the grass hoppers being green and some yellow too.

Thanks Guys!

WillieFindum here,
Once upon a time, a green body w/black spots, black hackle and yellow tail was just the ticket, once upon a time.
