Lookes photoshopped to me. The fins and tail are HUGE. Look at how little of an indention his fingers are making on the belly. Maybe not....maybe so. It is easy to do. Check out Texas Fight's post. http://texasfishingforum.com/forums/ubbt...rue#Post1638733

Beech,
The picture you linked looks much more realistic. The first one looks enlarged. Maybe just the difference in a good photographer.

No effort on the hands or face. But what do I know... I hope someone doesn't have to look like they are putting too much effort in picking up an 18lb fish. If so, they need to go to the gym.

YakNYota looks awful familiar -- could that be an older wiser Shane Davies? Haven't seen that rascal in twenty years -- I could be wrong though -- location is about right though-- at any rate a nice hybrid !!!!
And John that fish is from Altus Lugert Lake OKLAHOMA.

Well I confirmed it YakNYota IS none other than the INFAMOUS Shane Davies -- heck I thought he was barred from a Texas Fishing License for life -- knew I recognized that mug http://www.stripers247.com/phpBB2/gallery/images/2246/1_shanedavies.jpg an earlier striper pic that was caught illegally on a trout below PK Wonder if ole Shane had to change his name to get a license? TPWD must not have as long a memory as I do, wonder if they would be interested in a little lie detector for Shane before they certify that fish as a water body record???? He sure USED to like fishing illegally with trout !!!!!

I bet it was a gizzard. I've had 10# hybrids on Palestine try to eat them that size.
