I caught several carp in the south end of Lake Houston.

nothing huge, but decent carp.

I catch alot of carp out of the San Bernard River in Fort Bend County on the southwest freeway highway 59, it would be about a 40 mile drive for you but there is a very nice park down there on the river in Kendleton Texas

Can anyone please tell me where Caney creek (I'm assuming from the comments above this is stuffed full of carp) and Cypress creek are please, and which are the best swims?. Thanks.

Alan, Caney is where GG lives, and there aren't any carp in there. Now, if you want to catch buffs, that's a different story. The area is loaded with them. We harass GG because "carp fishing is his life" but hasn't actually caught a carp yet. The above comments were very sarcastic, which is a lot of the norm for this group. Welcome to the madness.

I'm not sure where Cypress creek is, but I bet you could find it if you used google maps.

Like I said in the other thread, many of us are willing to help you out with good swims via pm, but most of us don't know the Houston area at all. Listen to Richard and Frank and you'll get on some fish.

Oh, and you should really do a session with us at Emma Long sometimes. We're a fun group, once you hang out with us.

Ah, right - thank you. I could tell the fish he was holding wasn't a carp... guess that's a buffalo.
