Hey, Gang- This weekend at the Arlington Outdoors Show I met some folks from Tawakoni. They run Anchor Inn & Marina out of Tawakoni. They have tent camping, RV Hookups, and cabins as well as about 500 yards of bank access.

I really started thinking about having a fish-in out there some time after the ATC. I get about 1 trip per month, and I'm booked through March, and then May, but April is open.

These guys will bait up for us ahead of time so I think it will be a really good time.

Let me know what you think.

Chad

That sounds great!

I was going to go there last fall, but work got in the way. The Anchor Inn was recommended to me by my brother-in-laws neighbor due to their bank access and their service.

I'd be up for going back out there. Its not a bad place, we caught the last few trips as well.

I seem to recall something about beer, and wind, and beer, and fish, and beer.

And wasn't there some fire involved? We'd sure need to find more bank space. The wind of that point is insane too.

It can be, but I'd have to agree, it'd be a fantastic place for a fish-in. If we didn't try to concentrate on the point, there's be plenty of space.

Yeah, Bret, Mark, Chris, Kevin and myself have all fished there before, Chad.

Bret pretty much nailed it with his " beer, and wind, and beer, and fish, and beer" comment, and Mark of course, also nailed it with his "something about fire" comment hehehe.

Also...tents blowing away.

If you can pull it off in April I will be there. My boat is in a slip directly to the West across Rabbit Cove so it will be easy for me to pre-bait.

I am pulling my trailer and boat to my new property in Missouri either the end of April or the end of May. So if it isn't done in April I'm probably out.

Kevin

PS: I am going over this weekend. I was going to go after hybrids but, with the weather forecast the way it is, I'll probably end up going after Carp, Buffalo and Crappie from the dock Thursday and Friday. I haven't fished at all since the end of November so I have no idea what will happen. I'll let everyone know.

We need to scout Mexia for bank space and such. If it will support us it'd be worth a shot.
