Does anyone know if "Shrimpers" is still open on N. University drive? It used to be a good place to eat seafood, it was better than Red Lobster back then, I have not been there in 4-5 years though!

Keep your powder dry & don't fire until you see the whites of their eyes!!

You need to go to Dallas if you want good seafood. Try Chamberlains, Sea Dogs and Fish house

Bowfishing sucks

It's probably going to kill me one day, but if there's one thing I know how to do well it's eat. Now, I don't eat a lot of seafood being that we're not anywhere near the coast, but I'd have to second Ernie's in Bedford. It's great.

I also like it b/c it's independently owned and operated. We can't get enough of that in this country, and should do all we can to support it. No knocking razoos or rockfish, but I'm sick of everything being the same everwhere I go. I have to physically search out places where my money won't go to some mega corporate conglomerate.

Check out Fish Creek in Willow Park. Same owners as Catfish & Company in Hurst. Also, Bonnell's on Bryant Irvin does a good job a little more upscale

pappadeux's is pretty good, razzoos is great for cajun lovers, you can get some good shellfish at any of the amazing italian food places in the HEB(hurst euless bedford) area; ie: cafe sicilia, lushaj's, and uncle joes... not to be confused with any of the other 300 iti restaraunts that have joe in them

I assume that you are talking about Joe's Pizza and Pasta? there is one close to work. That one is good. That is the only one that I have tried that was good.

Joes has a dish called Shrimp Friadiablo (sp) that is really good. 10 huge shrimp with some pasta in a real spicey sauce. I love that stuff!

Daddy Jacks. It's the best I've found in the area.

I don't remember what my son or I ordered, but I remember he hated his meal (he was about 10 years old though) but I remember mine was very bland, was not firm and flakey like fish should be and was very watery. I am assuming that mine was under cooked.

My wife ordered the pecan crusted trout (I think) and she had the same compliant.

The service was bad as well.

We complained, but all we got was "sorry" from the server. No manager visit or anything. I emailed Rockfish and don't remember ever getting a reply back.

As far as I am concerned, the food and customer service sucked!

It goes to show how much a manager can make or break your dining experience. I was not impressed last time I was there either.
