Pro Rule now makes transom savers for Mercury.

They started making the transom savers that fit over the trim cylinders last year for Yamaha and this year they have added a Mercury compatible unit as well as one for 4 strokes. They are on sale at the show for $50.00 but after talking with the owner they will be going up soon so you may want to grab one. Check out www.prorule.net for more info.

Why do they consider this a transom saver? it takes no weight off the transom at all..would be the same as using your factory trailering bracket.

Why do they consider this a transom saver? it takes no weight off the transom at all..would be the same as using your factory trailering bracket. Neither does that small piece of aluminum that is a traditional transom saver. I can say firsthand that the Yamaha HPDIs are bad about breaking normal transome savers. These new designs have been in use about a year and they work well enough that Fun N Sun sends ever boat they sell out the door with one installed and they are one of the leadind and volume dealerships in the nation for Skeeters and Rangers. They seem to trsut them.
