Take I-30 east to the first Hwy 271 exit at Mt. Pleasant. Go south on 271 to the junction or split of Hwy 49 (a Y in the road about 5 miles off the I 30/271 exit). Take 49 (east or south) about 3 or 4 miles to the junction of FM 1735 (Light and service station on the right). Go to the right on 1735. The road to the ramp is on the left about 2 or 3 miles after you go thru the community of Chapel Hill. Watch out for the speed bumps as you get close to the ramp. Its approximately 160 miles from Irving. I don't recommend anything but idle speed north of the ramp--bad stump area.

Ray, Mr. Jenkins gave you some good directions. When you're headed south on 1735 look for the brown and white "boat ramp" sign on the RH side of the road pointing across the road. Take the little road S.E. 23a on your left from 1735. Just before you get to the speed bumps pull into the parking lot on your right and get your boat ready up there then take the single direction road we had put in there down to the ramp. You will then come straight up the old road (with the speed bumps) back up to the parking lot you started at. Plenty of room up there now, even has a port-a-potty and picnic tables!
I will be leaving Arlington about 5AM tomorrow morning headed out there myself!
cheers

Planning on leaving the house around 4 to 4:30 should get me there in plenty of time.
Thanks for the directions everyone.

Ray, I are fishing with these yahoos on Saturday! LOL (they really are a lot of fun, even ol Red Ranger!). If you see my Astro out there tomorrow come on over and intro yourself and I'll let ya know what I'm doing (even if it ain't working! LOL). Boat is White with red inlay, single console, with a 200HP Mariner Mag EFI on the back. I'm the 220 pound "good looking one" on front and the skinny little kid on back will be "Figure8S".
About time to hit the rack because that clock is going to be sounding reveille pretty early in the AM!.
cheers
