Are there any white bass in the Brazos around the Bryan area?

i'm sure there is but what most people are looking for is the spawning run that happen's above lake's or creeks. fish moving from the lake's up the river or creek's to spawn in the early spring. I noticed alot of people checking this post with out responding what's the deal too much trouble to help out someone?????????????????????????????????? the brazos has white's above lake whitney but what i have found is as i responded above there is alot of people which is sad is that all they are worried about is them selve's and they are rude and make it not worth going .there are also are whites in the Trinity river at hwy 21 above lake Livngston.

TNT, I've been fishing the Brazos above Whitney for 30 years and, I guess I've just been lucky but, almost everyone I've met has been respectful. I'm sorry if you've had a bad experience.

Kat Killer,
I'm sure that there are some whitebass in the Brazos and Navasota river near Bryan but good luck finding them in that muddy water! I suspect that you will have to go almost to Waco on the Brazos before you will find conditions that whitebass will tolerate and thrive in. Somerville is your best bet going south and the Trinity river and it's tributaries to the north and east. The Navasota river above Limestone is good too. Closest whitebass fishing I know of is 35 miles away from Bryan at Somerville's Welch park but this time of year the creeks are where I go and thats another 10 to 15 miles to the top of the lake..

Maybe you should relax. A lot of people read the post, but have no input on the subject. I read it, and don't know anything about the Brazos River. I think it's pretty rude to jump on here saying everyone that read this post is rude and only worried about themselves. Look at the other posts on here. LOTS and LOTS of info being shared. But I guess we're all too rude to help anyone out. I won't be answering any of your questions, that's for sure.

TNT you look like you have a little bit of an attitude over reading post. I read I just don't fish the brazos, so why waist time posting if I can't help. If you know so much take the man fish and help him out!

Kat-killer, I have never fished the Brazos. However I do know white bass will run up river even if it is muddy. They do it every year over here in the Leon River above Belton Lake. It is all about timing. If they are in the river you can catch them. If you miss it by a week you will not.

Hey guys the reason so many TFF-ers look at this posting is because all it says is" White Bass"! Been said in many ways some not so friendly but --it helps to post what it is you are looking for and not just a common heading such as? OK thumb

I read a lot of post's and don't reply if I can't say anything that will help or what I know has already been said. There is a lot of good info posted here by people that are trying to help and most of it is in resoponse to someone asking for help.

The one thing I don't like about the trinity river near Crockett is the smell! Might be sewage from up river and I'm not real sure the fish are safe to eat!
