Here are a few pics from New Years at the slip. I caught these before anyone showed up. Once everyone showed up we all had a heck of a time landing the fish. There was one escape after another.

How I wish I would have landed that 20+ lb carp.

The next 3 pics are of a carp that I caught last night. Kevin said it was a muddler.

The next few pics are of Kevin's carp, a 21 lb buff, 26 lb buff, and a 31 lb buff that I tailhooked.

Bubba, Kevin, and I hung out till almost 2am. We had a blast and the weather was awesome!

Thanks guys.

The long answer to your question Relic is that yesterday I got in my order from BCT. I ordered several small packages of different flavor boilies just so I could experiment over the next few weeks. Last night I tried 3 different flavors.

*Aniseed
*Mussel & Oyster
*Spicy Shrimp & Prawn

Everything I caught was on the aniseed. It reallys seems to work well with Calf Manna pellets. I guess because they share the same anise ingredient and smell similar. Anise smells just like black licorice.

I have 2 custom boilie orders coming from BCT. Dave's new cutom made boilie system is really cool. I can't wait to give them a try.

That muddler is awesome. Great night fishing. Good to know that the anise beat out the high protein...good info for the future. How was the hooked vs. lost ratio compared to the last few times we fished out there?

Nice pics, Jason. Looks like you guys had a great time. To have that type of weather this time of year must be great. We've got about a foot of fresh snow in the last 48 hours up here in Golden.

Regards, & Good Fishin',
