Hey, I live in haltom city and am looking for a place to bank fish during the colder seasons here. I've fished by the bridges on 377 by the railroad tracks(denton creek), marine creek park, and a few other ponds. I enjoy catfishing and crappie/sand bass fishing. Does anyone know of any specific places I could go?

Anything, baits used and so on will help.
I am willing to walk.

my main fishin spot is in campion trail off of hunter ferrel in irving, but i also fish joe pool in cedar hill state park and jefferson park in north irving along with any other spots that look promising lol, the best way 2 find where to fish is to get out there and just try out spots you got nothin to lose!

Ehh, mostly catfish and crappie/sandies.
But if they're biting, anything.

I love bass fishing when i have access to a boat..

well close, its actually off of hunter ferrel, just head south down macarthur and you'll see a blue sign that says "irving sanatation landfill" turn left off of macarthur following the sign and go all the way down hunter ferrel and it will come to a sharp turn left and to your right you will see the turn n for campion trails

Ok great.
Found it.

Thanks man.

I'll be out there soon.

I like to use a variety of stink baits, chicken liver, cut bait, and shrimp for catfish.
All those work pretty well out there?

havnt had ne luck with shrimp or cut bait, and ive never ever had ne luck with stink bait, i highly suggest chicken livers ive caught a 45 pound buffalo along with several other buffalo's and cats over 15 pounds on livers, and tons of nice drum on worms!

btw when you get to the park, the first parking lot you come to is a gravel n rock lot, park there and the river is across the field behind the trees, it can be slow at times but have faith lol ive not had a day yet where i go without arleast 1 BIG hook up, a good investment is if you can find one is a good size drop net, since at some spots in can be a steep hill to the creek it can be nearly impossible to land big fish i had a drop net already since i pier fish galveston bay in the summer if you dont know what a drop net is let mee know ill try to describe it, but its definitly a good investment, me n my buddies have increased our catches by a good 4 or 5 big fish a day due to the drop net!
