I landed a pelican on a snoopy pole

I have caught a duck on Tawakoni once and a couple of those white birds that work over schools of fish. All were reeled in and released safely.

I have caught 2 ducks night fishing on Hubbard in the marinas on plastics and about a 4 foot water snake up in the river on a frog before daylight.

I thaught the snake was a fish until I got ready to lip it!

I caught a softshell turtle from the Colorado River around Bastrop when I was a kid.

I had a swan once hit my plastic worm on my backswing while fishing a pond on a golf course.

The swans at this course were pretty mean & would follow you around and "honk" at you. This one snuck up beside me and snapped at my plastic worm. He didn't get the hook, but he pulled the worm off my texas rig & it gave me a rediculous birds nest on my cast.

I hooked a Beaver in the nose while fishing for catfish near a log jam one summer many years ago. Also, small gators on buzzbaits while fishing for Bass on Texana.

I still have the water body record for Freshwater Mullit at Gibbons Creek.....my partner bent over and got my Pop R in his cheek. We cut it off and he fished til noon with it sticking out of his face.

Later, at the ER he was sitting in the waiting room and this kid with the earrings and studs, etc. saw the hook in his face and said..... wow, that's cool man......:D

Was fishing Galveston Bay using live shrimp. Speckled trout were really running. Casted out and before my shrimp hit the water; a seagull caught it in mid air. Reeled that sucker in like a kite and with the help of my fishing buddy and the dip net we were able to subdued the gull and remove the hook. Talking bout fun!!! Nice until the bird was directly overhead and starting pooping.

i caught a turtle one time that was the biggest snapping turtle i have ever seen till this day. the claws were 2 inches long and it had big ole points sticking up on its back. scared the [censored] out of me

Fishing with my buddy down in Englewood Fla., fishing topwater for trout he had a porpise hit his topwater and strip about 100yds line off the reel. I got a picture of it jumping. After fighting with it for about 45 minutes, the braid wouldn't break, finally got it to the boat where it finally straighten out the hook and pulled off. Didn't know just how we was go to land it anyway.

Just those annoying turtles here. BTW, Athens has the biggest one I've ever seen. I was fishing the other side of the bridge on the point straight across from it. I looked into the water and was shocked to see this huge turtle swimming with a fish in its mouth. I think it is the same turtle they have pics of in the restraunt.

Biggest thing I ever hooked into was on the Blue River here in Colorado. We were night fishing for some big Brown Trout with Rapalas. Hooked into what I thought was a monster! Turned out to be one mad beaver. Completely demolished about $100 bucks worth of fishing gear in the three minutes I had him on.
