Hey guys,

My trolling motore mount was loose so I replaced the bolts with new ones. (The rubber on the old ones had dry rotted off). It seemed fine at first, but now it is already loose again. Any suggestions. Thanks.

Josh

Try using locking nuts if you're not already.

You have the t square rubber mounts...your holes in deck are probally to big..Take t square and cut the long threaded piece off...Use that as your spacer between deck and trolling bracket..Get new STAINLES STEEL BOLTS WASHERS AND LOCK NUTS...This should fix you up...OOPS use the square piece as the spacer..

Sounds like you need to, what we call hard mount it. Bolts with large washers and self locking nuts all stainless.

Yep, me too. A tip for ya. Use hardened stainless steel hardware, large area washers, and lock nuts. Fiberlocks will work. I used some junk hardware from Lowes probably made in China. First big wave and hard landing 2 of them sheared.
