Anybody have any say on the best boat insurance available. Looking for the least hassle if I have to make a claim. Thanks.

I used Allstate, never had to make a claim. If you have passed a Boater Ed course make sure and ask if they give discounts. Never hurts to save a little money.

State Farm and Progessive have always been the best to deal with as far as I'm concerned. Plus both have replacement policies, so there is no depreciation.
With Allstate, you have to worry about having the replacement cost endorsement. If you don't, your screwed when you have to rebuild your lower unit. They will hit you heavily on depreciation.
Plus, State Farm and Progressive have their own adjusters who handle the claims. Allstate does not. They hire "independants" who most of the time have never handled a boat claim and couldn't find the front end of a boat if they were looking at it.
I've ALWAYS had problems with Allstate handling claims. Don't believe me? There are plenty of people here on the forum that have had the same issues.
I'm not trying to bust any Allstate Agent's chops. SO if there are some here on the forum, I appologize in advance. But, if Allstate would handle claims in the same manner of some of the other companies, then I wouldn't have this opinion of them.

Anglers Advantage Insurance Program from Old United Casualty. They have high horsepower and speed ratings more typical of bass boats than other carriers. They also have endorsements for tournament fishing and fishing guides. They even have tournament entry fee reimbursement available. Many carriers will write a bass boat but then have exclusions that leave you uncovered under certain circumstances. When you are shopping make sure you read a copy of the policy information first. Don't rely on just word of mouth for what is covered or not. If you need a quote shoot me a PM.
