went out to the marina yesterday evening. showed up with a buddy at about 430. the few people in there said it was really slow like always but my buddy's first drop in he had a nice keeper. i didnt even have a chance to tie on my jig. then about 5:15 i get a nice strike and the fight is on. at first i think i have a decent bass because i have caught some nice bass on crappie jigs at the marina. i get it to the top and to my surprise its a big fat crappie. i yelled for help and my buddy layed down on the dock to reach in the well and lip her. she was a hair shy of 15 inches and wieght 1.85 lbs on the scale in the marina! thats the biggest crappie i have ever caught out of joe pool. we caught 2 more just barely keepers right after that then at about 6:30 they quit for good. left with 4 total. that biggen made the others look pitiful. and the funny thing is there were a couple of guys tryin to catch crappie but i never saw anyone but us catch a crappie not even a throw back. i guess we are just that good. haha.

Had 13 nice keepers on Xmas day...Quite a few bigguns have moved in lately. Not so much of quantity, but quality is something to be wreckened with at JP...(out on the slips, by the way, and not the barge)

Good job, CV. We're still getting the finishing touches at our EM slips done(membership, dues, getting both condos/brush sunk, etc).

Things should be settled out in the next 2-3 weeks. I don't see a problem of bring my kid out or a guest out once in awhile, especially those of you who have done the same for me.

JP can be misjudged at times but when they turn on they turn on. hoave caught many slabs there in the past and hope to catch many more....nice catch on that slab u got.

I was there when redneck caught that huge crappie, Man it was a WHOPPER!!!! 15 Inches!!! we thought he had a bass at first then that huge whopper came to the top of the water. by far the biggest i have seen caught inside the barge. Great Work!!!!

i caught this 14 incher on sunday and then a 13 incher and then a 12 incher the biiiiiggggggg slabs are in the barge right now for some reason
