My question is, If I buy a quantum energy baitcast reel off ebay that is new and in original packaging can I send in the mail-in rebate and get it. The reel sells for $139.99 with free shipping from a well established ebay seller(power seller, and has ebay store with 99.8% positive feedback). I am just not sure if I will get it since I am not paying full retail for it which is 189.99. I have read the small print on the mail-in rebate card you can print off from Cabela's website and it says nothing that would make me think I could not get the rebate. Thanks for any info you could give me.

For the shimano rebates you have to have a register receipt hand written ones won't be accepted, This s according to their form. Thing to do would be get a form for quantum and check it.

As long as they are an authorized Quantum dealer then yes. You would need to contact Quantum to verify if they are.

Most manufacturers won't accept purchases made on auction sites for their rebates....unfortunately!

the form says include your original, store dated receipt with the price you paid circled. my guess is they wont accept e-bay as a store...i had thought of that one already.

I bought one the other day on ebay for $139.99, the guy does have a store and he said he would give me a receipt. I will let ya'll know if it works, if not then still saved fifty bucks.
