I just installed a new lowrance 27C along with a navionics hotmaps premium 2007 card how do I know if it is working I thought they were just plug and play but I get the same contours whether the card is in or not.

you have to go to map data and put it on East texas I think on that card.

It's not plug & play. You need to go into map data & select Nacionics & then your region as John said.
