I have a question concerning the temp. setting on my Lowrance graphs. There are two settings for temperature: one says water temp. and the other simply says temp. When I put the water temp. on the page, it blinks 32 degrees F, all the time. When I choose temp, it puts a temp. on the screen that is the actual water temperature. For example, it read 49-52 yesterday on Texoma which is what other boats had. This also could not be the air temp. because it was 21 degress yesterday morning and 48 in the afternoon.
My problem and question is that I don't(knowingly) have a temp. sensor on the boat that runs to the transom and my trolling motor transducer is the 101 minnkota with the universal sonar that doesn't have a temp. sensor. So where am I getting this reading?? It is the same on the bow 332 and the console X-25.

Are these 2 networked together.
If so then you have a temp sensor somewhere.

Yes, the two are linked together.
But why does the water temp. selection always blink 32 F? And I can't find a temp. sensor on the boat. Unless the through hull transducer for the X-25 has a temp. sensor???

Sounds like your temp sensor is on the thru hull transducer.
You could check by turning off the NEMA 2000 power. This is the network power.Shoud be on a seperate switch.
Once the network power is off look to see which unit is reading temp.

I just looked up that transducer on the Lowrance site. They do have a shoot thru hull transducer that has a temp. sensor. I'll have to check to see if that's what is on my boat.

The 332 has the sensor in the transducer.

Right, but my 332 is hooked to the universal sonar in the older Minnkota that doesn't have a temp. sensor. I'm just trying to figure out where I'm getting the reading from????

Great question Ranger66 let me know when you figure this one out. My 332 does the exact same thing except I have not noticed another temp setting option, I will look tonight. Never done that before but I sent it to Lowrance to get repaired for other issues and when it came back it started that. It just blinks 32 all the time.?????

Kevin, I can't remember how to get to the other temp. setting. My boat is in storage and not at the house. I'll take a look at it this weekend. I think that I went to menu and looked from there. I kept adding things to the screen until I found what I wanted.
I just got my boat and am still trying to figure out the two graphs that came with it (I even read the manuals??). All I know is that there isn't a temp. sensor on the TM transducer or one wired to the transom/jack plate. So I was wondering where the reading was coming from. After asking around, I think the thru-hull transducer has a temp. sensor on it?????

After further inspection here's what I get: 1)I select MENU and go to OVERLAY DATA and hit SONAR DATA and then WATER TEMP. Here, I get the blinking 32 F on the screen.
2) When I go to NEMA 2000 and check TEMPERATURE, I get an actual reading on both graphs.
????????

You more then likely have this temp probe on the NEMA BUS. http://www.lei-extras.com/store/cart.aspYou can check to see if this temp probe is installed on the NEMA BUS by going to the NEMA 2000 Menu. This MENU will tell you what sensors you have connected to the NEMA BUS. I don't know how to get to this MENU off the top of my head. Read your Manual to find out.
