Went 2 weeks ago and got blanked on cats. You could catch all the carp you wanted though. They were thick.
What a maroon!

Ho_shi if you want to catch cats fish below the dam in the river I grew up donw there and always catch fish...wear something you can wade in and croos the river if it is not too high....then go as close as you can to the dam and fish punch bait under a cork. I use Danny Kings ...if you can not cross the river just fish the corner of the dam and let it float down along the edge of the rocks.....good luck let me know how you did....sandies and stripes are also down there....

the old timers at the local coffee shop would be a good place to start.. a local bait shop ...I do know this if you know how to get to peacan plantation you can get to the dam...the bait store right by peacan plantation.....can point you down the road to the dam....
