I picked up some viscious flurocarbon today. Can I throw this stuff right off the spool or do I have spray it repeatedly with reel magic before using it? THanks

What i do on fluro and mono is spray a rag with reel magic and hold the line with the rag while i reel the line on.It gets rid of the powder on the line then spray before and after every outting.

I didn't do anything to the line before I put it on. Picked some up from Rockwall Marine for the first time on the way to Monticello last weekend. I think I'm going to like the line a lot, especially for t-rig and finesse jigs. It's super strong, I couldn't even get it to break when I got hung up a couple times.

I like the rag idea. Usually I spray every night for 4 or 5 days leading up to a trip just to soften it up and ensure castability

You can use it right off the spool. If you use a line treatment I would use the Kevin VanDam line conditioner.
You ought to give the Vicious Ultimate a try too.

I like the KVD stuff but not really interested in having it shipped in.

What is the Vicious Ultimate?

Russ-I have much better results with KVD Line & Lure versus Reel Magic. I treat my lines Mono & Fluoro before I load the rigs in the boat. Been using it on the 15# Vicious Fluoro and have no memory problems---perhaps I should start drinking it to eliminate the old age CRS problem?

Vicious Ultimate is a copolymer line. I have been using it for 2 years without breaking it on a fish.

I second the vicious ultimate. I use it fishing spinnerbaits and the main line on my c-rig. Been using it for about six months now and been very happy with it.
