Falcon is the best lake I have ever fished...I do not see how the fishing in Mexico could be any better. As far as hiring a guide, if anyone goes down there and cannot figure it out they have serious problems. In fact they might need to pick another pasttime.

When fishing a lake that borders with Mexico, unless you are familiar with the rules, regulations and boundries and unknowingly "cross the line" into Mexican territory you could be in for some unplesantries. IMHO it would be a good move to use a local guide on the first trip to either lake. Of course on Amistad you could easily avoid that by staying away from the Rio Grande arm of the lake. flag

You guys get around! Poor me, I only fished Cedar Creek this year. Ofcourse I may have done it a few hundred times though. I used to get around until I started guiding. Now I pretty much just fish here on CC. It sure is fun going to another lake though.

That was my problem. I had been fishing so much that I could not see the forest for the trees.

If only I had the money that has been spent fishing these lakes.

All fishermen are legends in their own minds! Ranger Boats, Yamaha Outboards, Humminbird Electronics,Motor guide, and all the tackle in the world.
