well the mom dropped me off at around twelve and i had just bought some new jig heads and new colors at first i threw on a red and chartruese tube with a pink head and i was jiggin is along and BAMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!! a 11 1/2 inch slab nailed my jig it wa the bigget of the day that color was the ticket all day i caught prolly around 15-20 fish all day and 5 of those were keepers the fish diddnt really bight that good but the ones that did were hawgs the fish werent as deep as i thought they would b the fish would come in waves it was a very weird day in that aspect but this day was the second best day that i have had at the pool man was it a blast

Went out there this morning 12-9-07
Cold than a mother....I thought it wasn't going to be that cold so I was under-dressed...Duh on my part..
Couldn't catch the normal 75 or higher...They are a lot harder to find, but the ones I found hit very hard....and they are better quality than last week...Most were around a pound. End up w/ nine keepers out of 30 caught....and had to give up due to the cold northernly wind.
All were caught on 1/32oz jig Pink/Chat/Black

slabmesilly- u got 9 keepers at the barge? or were u in the private slips? cuz nine keepers at the barge would be an awesome trip.

Should've been paying attention to your friend Big_CatEM's forecast. :whistle: Granted, the rain part didn't happen as much as I expected due to crappy models I had to use mainly, BUT we were advertising cold weather latter half of the weekend since the middle of last week.

If I was fishing in the barge, I wouldn't freeze my behind off.
Anyway, I love cold weather slip fishing, and I have all the proper gears to do so without any discomfort. I just didn't wear them due to the lack of dependable forecast from the net.
Once again "DUH" on my part....BTW, thanks for telling me now Eric...ahahhaha
