I pass over the grapevine dam everyday on my way to work and I always see a few boat fishing over the bubbles. I was wondering what bait they were using and what the were cathcing. Also if anyone knew of a few good places around the lake that normally produce. I got a boat not to long ago but fishing from a boat and shore fishing is like night and day.

They were catching sandbass. But you can never tell what kind of bait they will be using. I use either slabs, humdingers, small white crank baits, or shad.

You can also get a net full of shad there if you want live bait.
