Finally got a chance to fish today after a 6 month dry spell. Caught more crappie today than I have in a long time. Everyone thanks for the reports posted it helped locate the fish. Also caught one 20 inch hybrid. Released for another day. 
Don't sweat the small stuff. It's all small stuff.

Caught the sandbass and one crappie on a chartreuse slabs. All other fish caught on homemade jig heads. 1/4 ounce head with number 4 red hook. Shad Assassins in Chartreuse, Albino, and Avacado did the trick.

Thursday was a great day to be out. I did a little exploring myself and found 3 new spots that held fish. Glad you had a fun trip.
