I have a Lowrance 1240A at the bow with the transducer below the trolling motor. I recently replaced the transducer and now when I increase / decrease the speed of my Motorguide trolling motor (hand control / variable spped) the flasher goes off. If I roll the speed back and forth it will come back on. If I turn the TM off the flasher works fine. I have made sure the transducer wire is not touching the trolling motor wire or plug. Something's not right. Any suggestions?

If you have the flasher power connected to the trolling motor batteries then that is your problem.
If not you got a bad connection on the flasher unit somewhere.

Thanks for the reply. I have not done anything with the power connections since I got the boat 10 years ago. The power is on the port sid eof the bow and the trolling motor / transducer on the starboard. I will be back in there looking, I may have pulled something loose when I replaced the TD. If I figure it out, I'll add it here.....
