Carlisles will wear the edges if not inflated near the max. I catch myself running low on air and put about 50 lbs in them. I think right now the inside grove on mine are not even making contact with the road. It is important on trailers that you check the air and keep it up. I just realize that I have Carlisle tires on my trailer. I had it put on about 14 month ago. I tow the boat most every weekend sometimes twice in a weekend and noticed that the threads still look like new. I'll keep an eye on the thread wear, I keep the pressure at 44 psi, 185 Promaster CC on the trailer. Hope the tires last longer than what I've read. I will continue to check my bearings and make sure the axle don't have too much stress or bends. If not, might just have to get some Goodyears.. So far it's good!!

I had the same problem with Carlisle tires, 3000 miles and 1 year and they were shot. They wore on the inside only. Went back to Goodyear Marathon Radials and haven't had a problem since. First set of Goodyears lasted 8 years with good tread left but put new on because of age. This set is on 3rd year with no sign of wear. DITTO, CARLISLE TIRES HAVE GIVEN ME NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS, I FINALLY WENT BACK TO MARATHONS WITH NO PROBLEMS, MINE ALWAYS WORE ON THE OUTSIDE.

It may not be the tires. I had the same problem and found that my axle was not straight. It caused the outside of the tire to wear on the left and the inside to wear on the right.

With dual axle trailers you will have some additional wear when you turn, specially hard turns. One set of tires (on the same side) will not turn as fast and drag on the ground causing tire wear.
Alignment of tires, tire balance and proper infalation will always give you more miles with less wear.

Your ball is probably to low, causing your trailer to be nose heavy not ballancing your load. Make sure you boat is level on the trailer.
